OUR HISTORY
1921
THE FOUNDATION.
CESTARO ROSSI was founded in Bari in 1921 as “Officine Meccaniche Liguro-Lombarde Cestaro e Rossi & c. s.n.c.” pioneers with a pioneering spirit typical of those operating such a field, like the industrial one, by then in its early days. The first orders involved the installation and maintenance of large diesel engines for power generation and the production of machinery for the oil, wine, and plasticizing industries.
1951
THE JOINT STOCK COMPANY
The postwar period marked the turning point: in 1952 the firm became a joint-stock company. It started to carry out mechanical maintenance work at the STANIC rfinery in Bari to steer later towards the field of plant engineering and industrial maintenance of petroleum, petrochemical chemical, pharmaceutical, steel and power plants. In 1999 almost a century after its founding, in the spirit of offering customers an increasingly comprehensive service, Cestaro Rossi acquired Impiantistica Traversa s.r.l., a company specialized in the electro-instrumental sector, giving rise to the Electro-Instrumental Division.
To date, Cestaro Rossi & C S.p.A. also carries out its activities in the construction and maintenance of civil and industrial electro-instrumental systems, control rooms with PLC management, LV/MV substations, electrical distribution, command and control panels, electric power production and distribution systems, industrial automation, remote control, and construction of photovoltaic systems. The company, depending on the Client’s needs, is able to offer a multidisciplinary service optimized by the synergy between the specializations involved.
100 YEARS
EXPERIENCE.
For 100 years we have been providing an increasingly comprehensive service in the field of plant construction and maintenance, from the mechanical to the electro-instrumental and construction area, from the performance of specific work to the full management and coordination of related activities. The experience gained, operating in different industrial realities, in the area of maintenance and advanced industrial plant engineering, allows CESTARO ROSSI Group to offer the Client a customized and flexible service “tailored” to its needs.
The group companies under a single ownership, work togheter in synergy, offering the customer the opportunity to:
- Plan and performing individual specialist mechanical and/or electro-instrumental works;
- Plan and implement their coordinating the activity of the other contractors acting as the ‘main contractor’;
- Schedule and carry out “turn key” all work the required under the contracted orders;
- Implement an integrated GLOBAL SERVICE.
